How to check Bluebird card balance
Here you will find all the information about how to check bluebird card balance. We will cover the balance checking process for temporary and permanent cards.
How to check temporary Bluebird card balance
To check the balance on your temporary Bluebird card, you’ll need the card number and the four-digit security code that appears on the front of the card. Click here to go to the balance check page.
The page will look similar to the image below and you will be prompted to enter your temporary card number and security code.
Once you enter the requested information, press continue and you will be able to see your card balance.

How to check balance of the permanent Bluebird card
To check your permanent Bluebird card balance, you can access your account online or by phone.
To access your account online, Click here. Once you sign in, your card balance will appear at the top of the page as shown below.
You can also check your Bluebird card balance by phone. Download the Bluebird Mobile App from app store or GooglePlay.
Once you have the app, sign in and you’ll see your card balance with your most recent transaction history, as shown in the image below:

How to register the temporary card
If you want to register your Bluebird card, it means you bought a temporary card from Walmart and want to register it so they can send you a permanent card in the mail later.
Here we explain how to register or activate your temporary card in bluebird.com
First, visit Bluebird.com and click the “Register Your Card” link at the top. As it’s shown in the following:
You will be taken to a page asking if you already have a temporary Bluebird card. Select “Yes” as shown below. Then complete the information requested below:
- Temporary card number (the 15-digit card number)
- Security code (the four digits on the front of your card)
- Name
- Email address
- mailing address
- Phone number
- Username and password
- Date of birth
- Social Security Number (This will be used to verify your identity. Bluebird will not check your financial situation and a credit score check is not required to obtain a card.)
- Create an ATM PIN
- Set security questions and answers
You should receive your personalized Bluebird card within 7-10 business days after registration is complete. Activate it according to the instructions on the Card. If you have not received your Card(s) within 14 days, please call American Express Bluebird customer service at 1 (877) 486-5990.
